Our sheep graze downland grass for 12 months of the year. The ewes lamb outside, close to the village, in April. The lambs run with the ewes ‘till September when they are weaned. We finish the lambs through the autumn and early winter. The ewes run with the rams from November to give our April lambing.

Through the winter months when the grass stops growing to enable to keep the sheep outside we graze them on our multi species cover crops, this preserves our grassland for the spring growth.
